Cruise 2009

Bahamas Cruise, a well planned trip (Majesty of the Seas)

By Herman Santa

The 5 day cruise to the Bahamas was a success.  We had over 20 of our members who went and over 60 guests who altogether were part of the trip.  The trip was organized by our president of the club Jimmy Rivera, Miguel Díaz  (Travel Agent of Vacation Superstore) and  Nora Candelario helped Jimmy to plan the cruise.  We started with Breakfast at Jimmy’s home on Monday September 21, 2009.  We had two full buses which left Jimmy’s home and with one stop for break.  We all arrived on time at the Port of Mimi and then the fun began day and night with a lot of food, dance, poolside line dancing, salsa, disco, rock and country.

While some went to the tours to see the islands (Nassau, Coco Cay and Kew West) other enjoyed a game of dominoes, the spa, the expo, shopping, the shows or dropped coins in the slot machines or played the card games.  The selling of the raffle tickets for the cruise was also a big success and helped increase our scholarship fund for next year. The winners of the cruise were William y Nilda Betancourt.  The group is planning another trip next year, those of you who are interested in going start
