The Spanish American Club, Inc. Billiard Tournament was hosted Saturday, November 2, at Shooters Billiards 8991 Federal Hwy, PSL at the corner of US1 and village green in Port St. Lucie.

Club member Ivan Guanill coordinated the event. The event produced enthusiastic participation by club members. The billiard tournament featured a ration of 12 players in a round single’s play. The entry fee was $5 per player. The players that lost two games were declared out of the competition.

Winners: Angel Pellot, 1st. Place Felix Asencio 2nd. Place.  Other players that participated were: Hector Peña, Herman Santa, Marco Peña, Al Peña, Carlos Bonet, Nelson Feliciano, Al Feliciano, Luis Arroyo and Roberto Belardo. Thanks to Ivan Guanill and his committee and to all participants who made this annual event a big success.

The next event has been scheduled for Saturday, November 30, to celebrate the “Annual Thanksgiving Dance”. The event is going to be catered and reservations are required. For more information, contact the president of the club Carlos Bonet at (917) 204-6141 or email at c.bonet@aol.com.

Torneo anual de Billar del SACI

El “Spanish American club, Inc.” llevó a cabo su Torneo Anual de Billar en el”Shooters Billiards” en la ciudad de Port St. Lucie.

El torneo se celebró el sábado 4 de noviembre.  El evento fue coordinado por Iván Guanill.  Angel Pellot conquistó el Primer Lugar y en segundo lugar quedó Félix Asencio.

El formato del torneo fue de 12 jugadores en “Single Play”.  El que pierde 2 juegos queda eliminado.  Entre los participantes estuvieron:  Este Servidor, Hector Peña, Marco Peña, Al Peña, Carlos Bonet, Nelson Feliciano, Al Feliciano, Luis Arroyo y Roberto Belardo

Por medio del periódico La Voz, quiero agradecer a Carlos Bonet, presidente del club por dejarnos organizar el torneo.  También quiero agradecer a los integrantes del comité Angel y Nereida Pellot que ayudaron a Iván con el torneo.  Finalmente, gracias a todos los participantes que dijeron presente.

El próximo evento del club está planeados para celebrar la “Fiesta de Acción Gracias” el sábado 30 de noviembre en el Elks Lodge en la ciudad de Port St. Lucie. El evento es con cena y no pueden traer su licor.
