SACI awards scholarship to Tayliz J. Rodriguez

Tayliz Joan Rodriguez, Winner of 2009 Scholarship

The Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) donated a scholarship to a local Hispanic student. The scholarship of $500 was awarded to Tayliz Joan Rodriguez. Tayliz a Puerto Rican descendant lives in Palm City and is attending Jensen Beach High School with a 3.9 GPA (Grade Point Average). She plans to study Business Administration and Musical Theater at Florida University.

In 1992, the foundation began awarding scholarships to Hispanic seniors graduating from martin or St. Lucie high schools. Since that time, more than $12,500 has been granted for this purpose. We are very proud of our recipients and wish them the good luck. Many thanks tour board of directors and to the scholarship committee who helped raised the funds for this year scholarships.

SACI otorga 2nda. beca a estudiante hispana

El comité de becas del Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) seleccionó a Taylis Joan Rodriguez de padres puertorriqueños y residente de Palm City como la segunda ganadora de la beca del club este año.  Tayliz es estudiante de 3.9 de “GPA” (Grade Point Average) de la escuela de Jensen Beach High School y piensa estudiar administración de negocios y teatro musical en la Universidad de Florida.

La beca honra a los estudiantes hispanos que se distinguen por sus talentos académicos en el ultimo año en las Escuelas Superiores de los Condados de Martín y St. Lucie.  Desde su fundación en el 1992, el club ha otorgado becas a 23 estudiantes hispanos de los condados de Martín y St. Lucie.  El total de los donativos se eleva a $12, 500.  La señorita Rodriguez se une a los otros estudiantes hispanos que ya han Ganado la beca del club.
