Dominoes games at Gonzalez’s house

By Herman Santa

The practices for the Domino Tournament have started. The first practices began on Saturday, June 5th, at Mr. Willie González’s residence in Port St. Lucie. Willie and his dear wife Olga had prepared delicious barbecued chicken cooked by Diego Velázquez, and of course, very cold beer. There was a “Chiva, as the Puerto Ricans say, or pollona, as the Cubans call it,” and some of the games were very close to being shutouts.

THE FIVE TEAMS BY PAIR ARE: GROUP A, THE DOMINANTS: Herman Santa and Willie González,

GROUP B, THE AMERICANS: James Marrota and Andy Rodríguez

GROUP C, THE ROOSTERS: Tony Ortiz and James Comander

GROUP D, THE FAT ONES: Martin Santos and Arnaldo Palenzuela

GROUP E, THE BEACHGOERS: José Encarnación and Alex Encarnación
