Spanish American Club celebrates Mardi Gras

The Annual Mardi Gras Party hosted by The Spanish American Club, Inc. was celebrated on Saturday, March. 25 at the Disabled American Veterans Club in Port St. Lucie.
Members and their guests enjoyed an evening of costumes, snacks, dancing, and of course, the beads. Our president Ruben Aleman and public relations director, Ray Guadalupe updated the members about the next events and thanked every one of them for their continued support.
Member’s birthday celebration was enjoyed by all. Month of March birthday wishes to Ivan Guanill, Vicky Rodriguez, Evelyn Carrillo, Giselle Borras, Nancy Rozon, Galud Segura, Maria Allen and Raul Ruiz.
Door prize winners were: Mirta Zapata, Augusto Rodriguez, John Borras, Tony Colón, Yolanda Torres, Carly Werhly and Vivian Megaro.
50/50 winners were: Al Manzanares and Aminda Peña After the birthday celebration and raffle drawings, everyone enjoyed the music of our talented D.J. Johnny Saltos.
Big thanks go to the members and their guests who bought tickets for the scholarship raffle. And finally, many thanks to the set up committee and the decoration committee who did a great job.
The Spanish American Club, Inc. is a not-for-profit social organization comprised of members in Martin and St. Lucie who are dedicated to the promotion and preserve of the Hispanic heritage on the Treasure Coast. The members meet every month to socialize, dine and dance. Some members bowl every Monday at 6:00 P.M. at Saint Lucie Lanes others play a round of golf every Wednesday at 12:P.M. at The Saints.
Next event of the club has been scheduled for Saturday, April 29 to celebrate our Annual Picnic. El Spanish American Club celebra fiesta anual de mardi gras

El pasado sábado 25 de marzo The Spanish American Club, Inc. celebró su baile anual de Mardi Gras en el Disabled American Veterans club en la ciudad de Port St. Lucie.
La fiesta fue amenizada por Johnny’s Music. El presidente Ruben Alemán y el director de relaciones públicas Ray Guadalupe le dieron la bienvenida a los socios y a sus invitados. En un receso se celebraron los cumpleaños de los socios del mes de marzo. Entre ellos Iván Guanill, Vicky Rodríguez, Evelyn Carrillo, Giselle Borras, Nancy Rozon, Galud Segura, Maria Allen y Raúl Ruíz.
Ganadores de los premios fueron: Mirta Zapata, Augusto Rodriguez, John Borras, Tony Colón, Yolanda Torres, Carly Werhly and Vivian Megaro. Los ganadores de la rifa del 50/50 fueron: Al Manzanares y Aminda Peña.
Mil gracias a los asistentes que compraron boletos para el beneficio de la beca y a los socios que donaron los premios para las rifas. También queremos agradecer a los socios que decoraron el salón, ayudaron con los set ups y se quedaron después del evento para limpiar el salón.
El Club es una corporación con fines no lucrativos y uno de los objetivos principales es promover el intercambio cultural, de idioma, geografía, costumbres, historia, arte y folklore de los paises de habla hispana.
El próximo evento del club está planeado para el sábado 29 de abril para celebrar el picnic anual de los socios en la playa de Jensen Beach.
