Spanish American Club Celebrates father’s day
“Celebrating our 25th Anniversary every month”

This year’s The Spanish American Club, Inc. “SACI” Father’s Day Party was a fabulous success! It was an excellent opportunity to see old friends, meet new members and make new friends. The door prizes, raffles, the food was outstanding and the entertainment (D.J. José Ramirez) was great!
The event was celebrated on Saturday, June 27 at the Disabled American Veterans Club in Port St. Lucie. Attendees enjoyed a night full of fun, eating, raffles and dancing throughout the evening.
Ruben Aleman, president along with his directors– Nancy Rozon; vice president, Luis Carrillo; treasurer, Al Feliciano; secretary, Ray Guadalupe; public relations, Isa Bryson; director and Carlos Mejia; substitute– provided a fantastic event for all to enjoy.
The meal consisted of stewed chicken, pulled pork, white rice, black beans, yucca with mojito, dessert and coffee. After the dinner, the board conducted the raffles and celebrated the member’s birthdays of the month of June while entertainer D.J. José Ramírez played a Happy Birthday song for them, among them present were: Gilbert Paredes, Gilberto Ferri, Javier Crespo, Roberta Linares, Tony Cruz, Marco Peña, Vicky Rodriguez and Maite Peterson.
During a break, club’s secretary Al Feliciano made a short speech in honor of recognition of myself and my wife Lucy as co-founders of the club. I received a certificate of appreciation and my wife Lucy received a bouquet of flowers for our dedication and continued support to the club during the last 25 years. The awards were presented by the president of the club Ruben Aleman.
Door prize winners were: Gilberto Ferri, Rossana Parra, Al Manzanares, Ana Santiago, Maritza Rivera, Yvonne Bonet, Maria Allen, Stella Paez and Alida Richardson. 50/50 winners were: Stella Paez and Isa Bryson.
A special thanks to the following members who helped with the following; Catering-Ray Guadalupe, Diana Nieves, Daisy and Ruben Aleman, Josie Guadalupe, Ivan Guanill. Decorations-Nancy Rozon, Angel and Nereida Pellot, Luis and Evelyn Carrillo. Set ups-Al and Virginia Feliciano, Dick and Karen Diamond, Augusto and Ana Rodriguez. Servers-Myranda, Joseline and Jeriah.
The club was founded in 1992 with the purpose of serving Hispanics from Martin and St. Lucie counties and is a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion of the Hispanic culture and heritage on the Treasure Coast.
The board is planning the next event Independences Dance Party”, Saturday, July 29. Reservations are required. Future events of the club this year: Beach Party Dance, Saturday August 26; Luau Dance, Saturday September 30; Halloween Dance, Saturday October 28; Thanksgiving Dance, Saturday November 25, Annual Cruise, Thursday December 7 and Christmas Dance, Friday December 22. Festejan los socios del Spanish American Club, Inc. “SACI” el Día de los Padres
“Celebrando 25 años de existencia todos los meses”

Este año el baile/cena del Spanish American Club, Inc. en honor a los padres fue una fiesta fabulosa y exitosa. Vimos viejos amigos y conocimos nuevos socios. La cena fue riquisima, hubo premios, rifas, y del baile ni hablar, pues nuestro D.J. José Ramírez puso todo el mundo a bailar con su repertorio de musica moderna hasta tarde en la noche.
El evento se celebró el pasado sábado 27 de junio, en el Disabled American Veterans Club en Port St. Lucie. Los socios empezaron com de costumbre con un coctél y disfrutaron de un delicioso bufét preparado por Bravo Supermarket. Los maestros de ceremonias fueron el Presidente Rubén Alemán, el secretario Al Feliciano y el Director de Relaciones Públicas Ray Guadalupe.
Después de la cena, las rifas y presentaciones, nuestro D.J. José Ramírez le tocó una canción de cumpleaños a los socios que estaban celebrando sus cumpleaños en el mes de junio. Entre ellos estaban presentes: Gilbert Paredes, Gilberto Ferri, Javier Crespo, Roberta Linares, Tony Cruz, Marco Peña, Vicky Rodriguez and Maite Peterson.
Los ganadores de los premios fueron: Gilberto Ferri, Rossana Parra, Al Manzanares, Ana Santiago, Maritza Rivera, Yvonne Bonet, Maria Allen, Stella Paez and Alida Richardson. Los del 50/50 fueron: Stella Paez and Isa Bryson. Todos la pasamos en buena camaradería. Mil gracias a nuestro presidente Rubén Alemán y sus directores– Nancy Rozon; vice presidente, Luis Carrillo; tesorero, Al Feliciano; secretario, Ray Guadalupe; Relaciones Públicas, Isa Bryson; Vocal y Carlos Mejia; substituto– por un evento bien planeado.
También hay que agradecer otros socios que ayudaron para que la fiesta fuera exitosa. Ellos son los siguientes; Diana Nieves, Daisy Aleman, Josie Guadalupe, Ivan Guanill, Angel y Nereida Pellot, Evelyn Carrillo, Virginia Feliciano, Dick y Karen Diamond, Augusto y Ana Rodriguez.
El Club es una corporación con fines no lucrativos fundada en el 1992 para conservar y promover la cultura hispana en la Costa del Tesoro. El objetivos principal es promover el intercambio cultural, de idioma, geografía, costumbres, historia, arte y folklore de los paises de habla hispana.
La próxima actividad de los socios este mes está planeada para el sábado 29 de julio para celebrar el Baile de las Independencias en el mismo local. Reservación es requerida. Para más información, por favor contacte al presidente del club, Rubén Alemán: aleman.999@aol.com.
