Dominoes games at Encarnación’s house

By Herman Santa

The “Playeros,” composed of José Encarnación and his son Alex Encarnación from Port St. Lucie, have been alone in first place since the start of practices for the Domino Tournament. The “Playeros” eliminated “Los Dominantes,” made up of Herman Santa and Willie González, for the five-game playoff series. Last year in the seven-game championship, held at the González family residence, the “Playeros” improved with four victories and qualified for the tournament.

Garage Sale (Rozon)

By Herman Santa

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, the members held a “Tag Sale”.  Some people call it Garage Sale others Yard Sale.  What ever the name that is called, it was a success thanks to the committee Mary, Kathy, Nora, Karen and Nancy.  Our thanks and gratitude goes to all the members that made donations for the “Garage Sale” and to raise funds for the scholarship.  They are: Billy and Nilda Betancourt,  Dick and Diana Sperl,  Kathy and Jimmy Rivera,  Mary Figliola,  Ron and Isa Bryson, William and Amparo Preciado,  Reinaldo Matias, Nancy  Rozon, Nora Candelario,  Herman and Lucy Santa,  Karen and Dick Diamond and Ida Gallant to mention a few. Your support is greatly appreciated.
