Can you be a team player and willing to practice once a week or once in a while? If you are a member of the Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) and answer yes to these questions, I would like to hear from you! We practice once a week on Mondays at the St. Lucie Lanes, Port St. Lucie. We start at 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., which will give us enough time to play three. The practices are voluntarily. If you like bowling and would like to make new friends, come and join us and have fun with us. We are a fun group! El lunes 17 de noviembre Tony Colón del comité de bolos del “Spanish American Club, Inc.” le otorgó a Virginia Feliciano una placa por su gran éxito durante las prácticas de bolos del club. Esta distinción muestra el gran cariño y respeto que les tienen los socios a Virginia quien se ha destacado en la rama femenina del grupo. Felicitaciones Virginia!
Los socios se reunen los lunes a las 6 de la noche en la bolera de St. Lucie Lanes. El costo por las practicas es de $8.50 por 3 juegos. El grupo de participantes disfrutan de una noche llena de confraternización y camaraderia. Otros jugadores que participan en las prácticas son: Luis Rosa, Félix Asencio, Rubén Alemán, Ray Guadalupe, Roberto Belardo, Carlos Bonet, Tony Canales, Billy Betancourt, John Borras, Julio Borras, Al Feliciano, Ivan Guanill, Angel Pellot, Javier Crespo, Gus Meza, Cookie Santiago y Millie Asencio. Valentine 2014
Spanish American Club Valentine dance was a great party

Many Hispanic families came from across the Treasure Coast to celebrate the annual Valentine dance of the Spanish American Club, Inc. The celebration sponsored by the club, took place at the Disabled American Veterans club in Port St. Lucie.
The event started at 7:30 p.m. with a cocktail then the 50/50, door prizes and the members February birthdays celebration and a hat dance contest. Door prize winners were: Mildred Pellot, Johnny Borras, Cathy Migliore, Carmen Nieves and Orlando Alvarez. The winner of the hat dance contest was Amparo Aragon.
Members present celebrating their birthday were: Al Feliciano, Cathy Migliore, Ivan Guanill, Galud Secura, Catalina Ruiz, Sonia Hernandez and Carmen Nieves. After the birthday celebration and raffles drawing, everyone enjoyed the entertainment of DJ José Ramírez with his repertoire of songs he sang and played.
Many thanks to the board for planning and working the dance. The next event has been scheduled for Saturday, March 29, to celebrate Mardi Gras at the same location. Baile de Enamorados
Los socios del “Spanish American Club, Inc.” (SACI) celebraron el Dia de San Valentín con un tremendo fiestón, el sábado 15 de febrero en el Disabled American Veterans Club en Port St. Lucie. La fiesta fue amenizada por el disc Jockey José Ramírez. En un receso se celebraron los cumpleaños de los socios en el mes de febrero. Ellos fueron: Al Feliciano, Cathy Migliore, Ivan Guanill, Galud Secura, Ruiz, Sonia Hernandez y Carmen Nieves. Despues se hizo la rifa para la beca y se regalaron los premios que les tenian la Junta directiva. Los ganadores de las rifas fueron: Mildred Pellot, Johnny Borras, Cathy Migliore, Carmen Nieves y Orlando Alvarez. La ganadora del baile del sombrero fue Amparo Aragón.
Les damos las gracias a los socios que ayudaron con la decoración del salón y a los socios que doranon los regalos. El próximo evento está planeado para el 29 de marzo en le mismo local para celebrar la fiesta de Mardi gras. Reservación es requerida. Spanish American Club honors members during their 2014 General Assembly

Awards were presented to distinguish members on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Annual General Assembly at the Disabled American Veteran Club in Port St. Lucie. Awards went to Ivan Guanill, Tony Colón, Melissa Bonet and Virginia Feliciano for their dedicated faithful services to the club. Congratulation to all of them. It was enjoyable event.

Winter Dance 2014
Spanish American Club held winter dance

On Saturday Jan. 18, the members of the Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) celebrated their winter dance at the Disabled American Veterans Club in Port St. Lucie.
The party started with the celebration of January’s birthdays. Members present celebrating their birthday were: Xiomara Guanill, Celia Santiago, Nereida Pellot, Felix Asencio, and Ray Matias. The D.J. played “Happy Birthday” for them and every one enjoyed the delicious birthday cake.
Door prizes winners were: Al Feliciano, Yvonne Bonet, Dick Diamond, Melissa Bonet, Celia Santiago, Carlos Bonet, Norma Miller, Nancy Rozon and Al Manzanares. D.J. José Ramírez took over the party and did a good job entertaining us until late in the evening.
Many thanks to the members who donated the door prizes and those who helped with the decoration, the set -ups and planned the event. The new board extends its thanks to generous members and their guests who bought tickets for the 50/50 drawing and for the door prizes.
The next event has been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15, to celebrate Valentine’s Day at the same location.
