Christmas Toys 2014

SACI kicks off the holidays by giving back to community at the DAV

By Herman Santa

Every year before the holidays, the Spanish American Club, Inc. donates food baskets in Thanksgiving for low income families and collects toys for needy children to be distributed in December.  The toy drive was conducted at the Annual Thanksgiving Celebration on Saturday, November 29 at the Disabled American Veteran’s Club in Port St. Lucie.  The gifts that were collected will be donated in Stuart and Indiantown through Helping People Succeed, Healthy Families and St. Andrew Christian School in Port St. Lucie.

The Spanish American Club, Inc. is a non-profit Organization founded in 1992, whose main goals are to promote friendship and solidarity among its members and other institutions, through social, cultural and civic activities and to promote the knowledge of the Spanish speaking countries’ geography, history, art, culture and folklore.  This board of directors are: Carlos A. Bonet, President; Nancy Rozon, Vice President; Melissa Bonet, Secretary; Ron Bryson, Treasurer; Tony Colón, Public Relations; Al Feliciano, Director; and Fe Vall de Ruten, Substitute.  The Christmas Toys Committee are Herman Santa and Nancy Rozon. Thank you for helping put a smile on our children faces during Christmas time. Happy Holidays. God bless.
