The Spanish American Club, Inc. celebrates Oldies but Goodies Dance

By Herman Santa

Members of The Spanish American Club, Inc. hosted the Annual Oldies but Goodies event on Saturday, August 26 at the Disabled American Veteran’s Club in Port St. Lucie.  Some ladies dressed with poodle skirt, bobbie socks and white/black shoes, while the men were rolled up tee shirts and jeans, duck-tail haircuts. Others were polka dot dresses, black jackets and caps to bring back the memories of the fifties.

The event started with a cocktail, picadas, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and the members August birthdays celebration.  Members and their guests were entertained with latin music of “Johnny’s Music D.J.”. Event coordinator was our public relations Director Ray Guadalupe.

Congratulations to our board of directors-Ruben Alemán, President; Nancy Rozón, Vice president; Al Feliciano, Secretary; Luis Carrillo,Treasurer; Ray Guadalupe, Public Relations; Isa Bryson, Director and Carlos Mejía, Substitute;-who did a wonderful job planning a memorable evening that was enjoyed by all.

A big thanks to our members and guests who helped with the decorations, set ups and assisted throughout the night.
