Tea Party fundraiser a big success

The ladies of the Spanish American Club, Inc. held a Fashion Show Fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 29 at St. Andrew Christian Academy in Port St. Lucie.

More than 50 members and guests attended the event. Nancy Rozon was committee chair with Mary Figliola, Kathy Rivera, Karen Diamond and Nora Candelario assisting and Lucy Santa and Ida Gallant as hostesses.

There was a delicious lunch with an assortment of teas, finger foods and desserts followed by a
fashion show presented by Hecho a Mano from the Treasure Coast Mall. Attendees enjoyed previewing the latest fashions presented by Mary Chang, manager. Models were provided by the Club and the Academy. Music was provided by Justin Owle, cellist, who is a senior at Vero Beach High School.

The Club then held a silent auction with many items available provided by the generosity of local
business sponsors and personal donations. Winners of the door prizes were Delia Diaz, Ida Gallant, Ernesta Monroe and Patricia Santos.

A big thank you goes to the tea party/fashion show committee who worked very hard to make this event a big success and to the generosity of the attendees and sponsors who supported the event.  Among the sponsors were: Rave, Kilwin’s, Victoria Rose Boutique, O’Sole Mio, EI Cubanito, Umberto’s, Caramba, Aphrodite, Bloomingdeal’s, Arraz Fashions, Macy’s, Beall’s, Joseph Lynn, Albert g. Accessories, Lowe’s, Tropical Smoothie in SLW, and Laura Mercado.
