Awards 2017 (Santa)

On Saturday, June 27, 2017, at the Anniversary Dinner Dance at the Disabled American Veteran Club in Port St. Lucie a special awards were given to Herman and Lucy Santa in recognition of their 25 years of exceptional service to the club. The awards were presented by the president of the club Ruben Aleman.
Club’s secretary Al Feliciano made a short speech in honor of myself and my wife Lucy as co-founders of the club. Thanks Al and Ruben and your board for the awards.

Elected President Tom González presented Dr. Antonio José Castillo with a plaque for his service and dedication to the club.

On Saturday, January 7, at the “Disabled American Veterans Club” in Port St. Lucie during the Annual General Assembly, Leticia Goff presents a plaque of appreciation to Rico Arnell.
For his great effort and successes achieved both in golf practices and in the Golf Committee of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.”, Rico Arnell has been honored before departing and establishing himself in his new residence in Ohio.
This distinction highlights the great affection and respect that the golf club players have for them. Rico has been a mentor and golf instructor for many of us who are fans of this favorite and difficult sport to play.

During the “14th Anniversary” ceremony of the club at the “One World” restaurant in Port St. Lucie, Ivonne Fraga, Director of the newspaper “La Voz,” received this distinction on behalf of Juan Carlos Vega, General Manager of the weekly publication, expressing gratitude for the recognition and reiterating the commitment of the publication to continue supporting the club by reserving a weekly space. Mariella Chirinos from “Latin News” also received a plaque for her great dedication and cooperation with our club. A Sam del Rosario was awarded for his outstanding work on the 4th Edition of the club’s booklet.

Recognized SACI sponsor, St. Lucie Lanes

The Spanish American Club, Inc. recognized St. Lucie Lanes in Port St. Lucie for its performance. This franchise has sponsored the club’s bowling tournaments, helping to raise funds for scholarships for Hispanic students from Martin and St. Lucie counties. The bowling alley has always been there to help when assistance is requested and has a positive track record aimed at supporting the education of students during bowling tournaments. During the tournament, John Lugo was present to receive the plaque on behalf of Sue Mascara, the manager of the bowling alley, for her work in assisting the club.
