Christmas toys collection

On December 16th at 7:00 p.m., some members of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.” gathered at the Pueblo Viejo restaurant in Port St. Lucie. The evening began with a toast, and then the members enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner. The semi-private corner of the popular restaurant turned into a Christmas party. Later, the Christmas toys were collected and distributed in the cities of Indiantown and Ft. Pierce. The directors thank the members who donated the gifts.

Get Together 2001 (Caraballo)
Monthly Get Together at the residence of Harrison and Angela Caraballo in Port St. Lucie

On Saturday, May 19th, the monthly “Get Together” was held at the residence of Harrison and his beloved wife Angela. Many of our members have a festive spirit, and one of them is Harry, as we call those who know him, along with his kind wife Angela. With the warmth that characterizes them, they made us feel at home. We had a pleasant time chatting with old friends and getting to know new members.



Independence 2001
Independence at the residence of Victor Swift and Ana Swift

A beautiful view of the golf course and a lovely pool served as the setting for dozens of members and guests of the “Get Together” monthly event. The monthly meeting of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.” took place on Saturday, July 27th, at the residence of Attorney Victor Swift and Ana Swift in the Country Club subdivision in St. Lucie West.
The party started at 7:00 p.m. with cocktails and appetizers. Then the guests delighted their palates with culinary specialties from the members themselves. Next, the winner of the scholarship, Ms. Gabriela Padilla, was introduced, and immediately Victor played music for dancing. The elegant residence of the Swifts transformed into a vibrant salsa party where attendees enjoyed a delicious buffet with wines, appetizers, and the good Latin music.



Cruise 2001 (SunCruz Casino)
In the sea, life is tastier “SunCruz”

The cruise tour on the “SunCruz” organized by the Board of Directors of the club was successful. The boat trip, held every year, is exclusively for members, family, and friends, and we always have a lot of fun. We departed on a “Motor Coach” bus from the parking lot of the “Staples” store in Port St. Lucie. The admission cost was $25 per person, which included breakfast, lunch, and $10 for the casino. There were birthday celebrations, food, drinks, shows, movies, bingo, a pool, casino, and live music (Island Music).


Thanksgiving 2003
Annual Thanksgiving with D.J. music at Don Eduardo Restaurant in Jensen Beach

The members of the Spanish American Club, Inc. gathered with their guests at the Don Eduardo restaurant on Jensen Beach to celebrate the Thanksgiving party. We all enjoyed the delicious Mexican food prepared by Don Eduardo. After dinner, Don Eduardo treated us to sangria and played Latin music, and we danced late into the night.



Independence 2003
Independence at the Iliana Zequeira residence

The monthly meeting of the partners of “Spanish American Club, Inc” was held on Saturday, July 19th, at the residence of our dear member Iliana Zequeira in St. Lucie. The party began at 7:00 p.m. with cocktails and appetizers.
Afterward, the guests enjoyed a delicious buffet prepared by the partners themselves. Then, the scholarship winner, Miss María A. Fernández, was announced. We are all grateful, and we thank Iliana and her daughter Sara Lee for such a wonderful day we had.



Christmas Toys 2003
Sponsors donate Christmas toys to a low-income child at the Yeagley residence

On Saturday, December 6th, the members of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.” collected Christmas toys for low-income children in the area. The collection took place at the residence of Jim and Maria Yeagley in the city of Port St. Lucie. Santa Herman will distribute the toys in the city of Indiantown. Thanks to all the members who donated Christmas gifts. And thanks to Jim and Maria for lending their home for the toy collection.

“Christmas Party” and “Christmas Toys Drive” at the residence of the Yeagley’s

On Saturday, December 6th, the members of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.” gathered to celebrate the club’s traditional Christmas party, the main objective of which is to collect toys for low-income children in the area. The party was held at the residence of Jim and Maria Yeagle in the city of Port St. Lucie. As usual, it began with cocktails and appetizers. Once everyone was gathered, the Christmas buffet was served. Thanks to all the members who donated Christmas gifts. And thank you to Jim and Maria for the “Christmas Bash,” as we had a great time.



Oldies 2010
50’s Dance Party: A wonderful evening

On Saturday, September 25th, the Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) celebrated the 50’s Dance Party. The festivity was celebrated at a private club house in Port St. Lucie. The evening featured awards, food, music and raffles. The members started with a cocktail, a fruit salad as appetizer and then ate a delicious latin buffet and finished with coffee and dessert.
After the dinner the members and their guests celebrated their birthdays. The D.J. played a birthday song for Diana Manzanares, Joe Abbate and Karen Diamond. During a break, the board of directors raffled the door prizes, held the 50/50 raffle and the hat dance contest. Door Prize Winners were: Diana Manzanares, Bernedette Anderson (Guest), Millie Rodriquez, Maria Vallderuten. The 50/50 Winner was Xiomara Guanill, and Gladys Piñeiro won the Hat Dance Contest. Many members and their guests dressed for the occasion. Some dance the the 50’s music and did the jive. Others danced the rock & Roll, the swing and latin salsa. They were entertained by Mendoza Sound.



Bowling 2001
Practices for the “First Bowling Tournament”

“The Spanish American Club, Inc. will be sponsoring the ‘First Bowling Tournament’ of the club that will take place soon at the St. Lucie Lanes bowling alley. Practice will begin every Sunday at 7:30 PM. The cost for practice is approximately $3 per game per person and the shoes are $1.50.”
The current etiquette rules apply, and there will be no “Handicap” play. The official scoring system will be the free “Telescore.” Each person will play two games. You may bring your family. Congratulations to the Board of Directors and the Bowling Committee for supporting this sporting event. The bowling committee consists of Herman Santa and Rico Arnell. Members or interested individuals, please contact Mr. Santa.
