Yearly Reports

Carlos Bonet stated that he couldn’t emphasize enough on how important it is for members to READ AND RESPOND to the emails. If members are not receiving the emails, DO NOT wait until the end of the year to say something. Please contact the secretary, Evelyn Carrillo.  Another issue is our dress code. Every flyer sent stipulates.  NO SNEAKERS, NO JEANS.  This is what is expected. If the flyer stipulates semi-formal, men wear an evening jacket and a tie. Ladies wear the best evening dress available. This is what is expected.

501.C3

Carlos Bonet stated that after several years of attempting to obtain the 501.C3 approval status has finally ended. As of January 1, 2025, the 501.C3 is in effect.  To obtain the tax exemption, we had to create a sub-group within our corporation.
The sub-group would need to have its own Board of Directors, Article of Incorporation and By-laws. Along with its separate bank account. Other agencies were charging SACI $1,200 to $1,600, but Carlos Bonet was able to do all the paperwork for $353. Carlos Bonet thanked the Board of Directors for their patience, assistance and hard work.

The sub-group name is:

The Spanish American Club Community Outreach (SACCO)
Directors:
Carlos Bonet – President
Nancy Rozon – Vice President
Treasurer – Josephine Guadalupe
Secretary – Pamela Peña
