Get together with Disc Music at the residence of Dana and Maite Peterson in Palm City

The invitation was for paella. More than 30 members of SACI accepted the invitation from Maite and Dana Peterson to enjoy paella at their luxurious residence on October 22 in the city of Palm City. The menu promised countless delights: appetizers, wine, bread, salads, Spanish music, and the rich Valencian paella. What elegance! Desserts of all kinds: pudding, papaya sweet, cheese cake, and the delicious “Apple Pies,” what a marvel! Rum with a hint of lemon, ice-cold beer, and then… the paella. The end of happiness. “Oh no… not with shrimp because I am allergic.” “Oh no… not with meat because I am vegetarian.” “Oh no, not with chicken because I don’t eat anything with feathers.”

Definitive. The pig’s tail got twisted. Goodbye dreamed delight. Well, “there” we go. To eat paella at the Petersons’ house. That’s what some of the guests said. End of the story: we ate three. With Spanish-style rice prepared with chicken and various seafood: octopus, squid, clams, shrimp, and prawns.

The paella was not just a success that Maite cooked in front of us. She went all out assisting us, and what can I say about Dana? She made us feel like queens and kings of Spain in her humble home, where peace, harmony, joy, and beauty reign. Thanks to the Petersons for cooking so deliciously and allowing the club members to enjoy their home.
