17th scholarship from the “Spanish American Club, Inc.”

The young Mexican Daisy Trujillo, a resident of Indiantown, received a scholarship of $500 to study medicine at “Med Vance Institute.” Daisy was selected by the Scholarship Committee of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.,” who described her as one of the three most qualified students this year for the club’s student scholarship, possessing great intelligence and dedication. She hopes to graduate next October as a medical assistant.

Thanks to the scholarship sponsors this year. The list of contributors from 2007 included; Showtime Entertainment, Center for Eye Care & Surgery, Coggin Honda of Ft. Pierce, Rodríguez Oronoz & Co., Vitreo-Retinal Consultants, Realty Unlimited GMAC, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dansar Construction Co., Groucho’s Production, Jose’s Barber Styling, Latin Chamber of Commerce of the Treasure Coast, and La Voz News of the Treasure Coast, among others.
