Spanish American Club Hosted a Bowling Dinner at Pietro’s restaurant on Hutchinson Island

On Saturday, December 3 to kick off the Christmas holiday, some members of the bowling group of the The Spanish American Club, Inc. dine and drink at Pietro’s restaurant on Hutchinson Island. Among the members and their guests attending the dinner were: Gilberto Ferri, Tony Colon, Julio Borras, Unidentified guest, Alfredo Medina, Yolanda Medina, Johnny Borras, Annie Borras, Luis Carrillo, Evelyn Carrillo, Nilda Betancourt, Jose Echevarria, Sonia Echevarria, Felix Asencio, Millie Asencio, Agusto Rodriguez, Ana Rodriguez, Gus Meza, Karen Meza, Carlos Bonet, Yvonne Bonet, Al Feliciano, Virginia Feliciano, Jose Santiago, Cookie Santiago, Tony Canales, Norma Canales, Olando Tirado, Billy Betancourt, Nilda Betancourt, Tony Cruz, Herman Santa, Lucy Santa, Ray Guadalupe, Roberto Belardo, Carmen Belardo, Arturo Guadalupe, Josie Guadalupe, Javier Crespo, Lynette Malave, Ruben Aleman, Daisy Aleman, Tony Cruz, Mirta Zapata, Vicky Rodriguez and Charlie Rodriguez.
A big Thanks to Ruben Aleman, Director of the Bowling Committee and Billy Betancourt co-chairs who coordinated the event. Daisy Aleman who coordinated the gift exchange after the dinner. Special thanks to Felix Asencio who played C.D.’s. music for our guests. It was a great night of good food, drinks and good camaraderie to start the holiday season.







Thanksgiving 2016
Annual Thanksgiving with D.J. José Ramírez at the DAV

The Spanish American Club, Inc. hosted the annual Thanksgiving celebration on Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Disabled American Veteran’s Club in Port St. Lucie. The evening started with cocktails, birthday celebration, door prizes, award and ended with great dancing music.
Before the dance, master of ceremonies and president of the club, Carlos Bonet, welcomed everyone to the party and gave an update of the status of the club and thanked every one of them for their continued support. Carlos also presented an award to Ron Bryson for his support and dedication to our club.
After the raffles, entertainer, D.J. José Ramírez played the “Happy Birthday” song for members and their guests who were celebrating their birthdays during the month of November.
The club continued a 23-year tradition by distributing food baskets to underprivileged families for Thanksgiving and donating holiday gift bags to needy children in the area. A big “thank you” to the board, the members and their guests who donated the door prizes and brought Christmas gifts for the children.

Halloween 2016

The Annual Halloween Party hosted by The Spanish American Club, Inc. was celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Hall in Port St. Lucie.
Members and guests were invited for tricks, treats, raffles, dances, snacks and door prizes for the best costumes. Master of ceremonies and president of the club Carlos Bonet welcomed everyone to the party and thanked everyone for their continued support.
After the announcements, birthday celebration and raffle drawings, everyone enjoyed the entertainment of D.J. David Peraza. A big thank you to our board members who coordinated the event. A special thank you to all the members and their guests who bought tickets for the raffles to benefit the scholarship of the club.

The Annual Luau party hosted by The Spanish American Club, Inc. was celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) hall in Port St. Lucie. Master of ceremonies and president of the club, Carlos Bonet, welcomed everyone to the party and gave an update of the status of the club and thanked every one of them for their continued support.
Followed the president’s update, the board conducted the raffles and celebrated the birthdays of the month of September while entertainer D.J. José Ramírez played a Happy Birthday song for them.
It was an evening of raffles, door prizes music, leis and of course, luau. A big thank you to our board members who coordinated the event. A special thank you to all the members and their guests who attended and bought tickets for the raffles.

On behalf of the The Spanish American Club, Inc. board our Treasurer Ruben Aleman was present to receive the proclamation. Arriva Hispanos!

The Spanish American Club, Inc. hosted a Beach Party Dance on Saturday, August 27 at the Disabled American Veterans Club in Port St. Lucie. Members and their guests enjoyed an evening of drinks, fun, snacks and dancing. Master of ceremonies and president of the club, Carlos Bonet, welcomed everyone to the party and gave an update of the status of the club and thanked every one of them for their continued support.
Followed the president’s update, the board conducted the raffles and celebrated the birthdays of the month of August while entertainer D.J. José Ramírez played a Happy Birthday song for them. A big thank to Nancy Rozon who donated the candle set to raise funds for the scholarship. Thanks to our board of directors and members who helped with the decorations, set ups and assisted throughout the night. The club’s mission is to unite the Hispanics throughout the Treasure Coast, in order to preserve our Hispanic Heritage.

The Spanish American Club, Inc. hosted “Independence Party ” on Saturday, July 30 at the Disabled American Veterans Club in Port St. Lucie. Members and their guests enjoyed an evening of drinks, snacks, dancing and raffles. Raffle winners were Luis Carrillo, Sonia Hernandez, Olga Perea, Mercy Roman, Isabel Torres and Ricardo Castro. 50/50 winners were: Evie Cardona and Virginia Gonzalez. A big thanks to our members and guests who helped with the decorations, set ups and assisted throughout the night.



Golf 2016 (Tournament-Par 5)

On Saturday, July 16, some members of The Spanish American Club, Inc. participated in the Golf Tournament of the “Par 5 Golf Tournament at Club Med Golf Course in Port St. Lucie. Among the participants representing the club were, Ray Guadalupe, Herman Santa, Carlos Bonet and Neftali Rivera. Other golfers that play with our group were Ed Shuebert, Bernard Jethroe and Ralph Morrison. Thanks to all participants from the club who went above and beyond for a good cause. Bernard won the “Closest to the Pin”, Par 3 hole # 10, Fernando Mejia won the 50/50 ($180). Congratulations.
