By Herman Santa

In a pleasant morning at the golf course of the Savannah Club of Port St. Lucie, members and friends of the Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) celebrated the end of their fifth golf tournament to benefit the club’s scholarship fund.

Golf practices started back in January once a week and golfers were accumulating points in each game until their last game of Friday, August 4.  The following prices were awarded: Al Saladin: “Best Birdies” and “Most Pars” Rico Arnell: “Best Putter” and “Closest to Pin” Herman Santa: “Best Scores” and “MVP Most Valuable Player” Nick Arnell: “longest Drive” Chuck Coughlin: “Best Improved Player”

Other players included: Luis Rosa, Dana Peterson, Leticia Golf, Muriel Annonziatta and Jorge Prado.  Thanks to all the participants. Moneys collected from the tournament will go to the SACI Scholarship Fund to benefit a Hispanic student.  If you would like to become a member of the club, please contact the board of directors.
