Spanish American Club Celebrates Father’s Day

By Herman Santa

This year’s The Spanish American Club, Inc. “SACI” Father’s Day Party was a fabulous success! It was an excellent opportunity to see old friends, meet new members and make new friends. The door prizes, raffles, the food was outstanding, and the entertainment (D.J. José Ramirez) was great!

The event was celebrated on Saturday, June 27 at the Disabled American Veterans Club in Port St. Lucie. Attendees enjoyed a night full of fun, eating, raffles and dancing throughout the evening.

Ruben Aleman, president along with his directors– Nancy Rozon; vice president, Luis Carrillo; treasurer, Al Feliciano; secretary, Ray Guadalupe; public relations, Isa Bryson; director and Carlos Mejia; substitute, provided a fantastic event for all to enjoy.

The meal consisted of stewed chicken, pulled pork, white rice, black beans, yucca with mojito, dessert and coffee.  After the dinner, the board conducted the raffles and celebrated the member’s birthdays of the month of June while entertainer D.J. José Ramírez played a Happy Birthday song for them.

During a break, club’s secretary Al Feliciano made a short speech in honor of recognition of myself and my wife Lucy as co-founders of the club. I received a certificate of appreciation, and my wife Lucy received a bouquet of flowers for our dedication and continued support to the club during the last 25 years.  The awards were presented by the president of the club Ruben Aleman.
