Spanish American Club’s Annual Christmas Dinner Dance

On Saturday, Dec. 28, members and supporters of The Spanish American Club, Inc. gathered to celebrate the club’s last event of the year at The Elks Lodge 2658 at 2290 SE Lennard Road, Port Saint Lucie.  The attendees enjoyed a delicious sit-down dinner of pork, chicken, fish, salad, baked potato, vegetable medley, and dessert.  Entertainment was provided by D.J. José Ramírez.

Carlos Bonet, master of ceremonies and club president welcomed everyone to the party and gave an update of the club and thanked everyone for continued support.  Al Feliciano, Vice president, conducted the raffles (Door prizes, Gift certificates and 50/50) and the December birthday celebration. Among the birthday members present were: Jimmy Rivera, Carlos López, Gustavo Santa, Wanda Wanda Oquendo, Mary Figliola, Elizabeth Mejía, Virginia Feliciano, Néstor Pereira and Rafael Velasquez.

Door prize winners: Annie Borras, Rafael Velasquez, Grace Ortiz, Stella Páez, Fidelgno Casallas, Elizabeth Mejía, Lezette Ramos, Virginia González and Lilian Cruz.,  50/50 winners: Nereida Pellot, Josie Guadalupe and David Ramos.

The event ended with the awards ceremony. The board of directors recognized some members and directors for their service, contribution and dedication to the club with Gift cards. Among them were Herman Santa, Ivan Guanill, Virginia Feliciano, Dick Diamond, Karen Diamond and Angel Pellot and Nereida Pellot.

A big “thank you” went out to the board, who worked hard to make the last annual event of the year a big success. Many thanks to the members who helped with the decorations and set-ups. Finally, thanks to the members that donated the door prizes and bought tickets for the raffles.

This non-profit organization’s mission is to preserve the Hispanic heritage on the Treasure Coast. The members meet once a month to socialize, dine and dance. Some members and their guests play golf on Fridays at The Saints Golf Course after 12 P.M. and bowl on Mondays after 5:30 at the St. Lucie Lanes.

El Spanish American Club, Inc. (SACI) celebró el fin del año en grande con cena y baile en su nuevo local de los Elks Lodge en Port St. Lucie

El sábado 28 de diciembre los socios del El Spanish American Club, Inc. celebraron el fin del año 2019 en grande con cena baile en el nuevo local de los Elks Lodge en Port St. Lucie.

Los socios e invitados se divertieron toda la noche con una deliciosa cena, rifas, premios y baile. El evento fue amenizado por el D.J. José Ramírez.  Antes de la cena, el presidente del club Carlos Bonet y maestro de ceremonias le dió la bienvenida a todos los concurrentes y les agradeció por el apoyo que le han brindado en todos los eventos del club.

En un receso el vice presidente Al Feliciano hizo las rifas de los premios, del 50/50 y después el D.J le tocó una canción de cumpleaños los socios que estaban celebrando sus cumpleanos en el mes de diciembre.  Entre ellos se estaban Jimmy Rivera, Carlos López, Gustavo Santa, Wanda Oquendo, Mary Figliola, Elizabeth Mejía, Virginia Feliciano, Néstor Pereira y Rafael Velásquez.

Los ganadores de los premios fueron: Annie Borrás, Rafael Velásquez, Grace Ortiz, Stella Páez, Fideligno Casallas, Elizabeth Mejía, Lezette Ramos, Virginia González y Lilian Cruz.  Los ganadores del 50/50 fueron: Nereida Pellot, Josie Guadalupe y David Ramos.  El evento terminó con la etrega de gift cards a los socios que se destacaron el año pasador por su labor, su servicio y dedicación al club.  Los premiados fueron: Herman Santa, Ivan Guanill, Virginia Feliciano, Dick Diamond, Karen Diamond, Angel Pellot y Nereida Pellot.
