Board 2017
Message from the President
Last year I served as your Treasurer, and this year I have been elected as your President. I served you as Treasurer to the best of my ability and plan to do so again as your President. Thanks you for putting your trust in me. As you know, Carlos Bonet has been your leader for the last four years and I commend him and the Board for a job well done.
At this point I want to thank the Board for staying with me to help continue the work they have done. I would like to see the Club grow at the same pace that it has been. The members of S.A.C.I are an extraordinary group of people who enjoy life to the fullest. In fact, that was one of the reasons I joined the club. No club can prosper without the support of its members.
The future of the Club is in your hands, and only you can make the club better. The more participation in club activities the stronger the club will be. Support comes in many phases: the donations you give at our events, the donations you give when you help with the scholarship program (which thank to you has grown at great pace) and finally the donations you give of your time and effort, which should not be taken lightly.
Last Saturday we held our black and white event (we had over a hundred and ten participants). This helped both our scholarship fund and our general fund. I would like to inform you that we have a golf day. This is a group of us that golf together every Wednesday. If you want to join us you are more than welcome. We also have a bowling night at St. Lucie lanes every Monday night, all year round. It is not a league. You participate when and if you can.
I want to thank you all in advance for your help and participation now and in the future. In parting I want to welcome Isa Bryson for joining the board, and a special thanks to Carlos Mejia for attending our last board meeting. Hope to see many of you at the Valentine’s Day event which is being held at Club Med. Best wishes for the new year, Ruben Aleman
