Joyful afternoon at the Aguirre’s residence

By Herman Santa

Among the happiest Colombian members of the Spanish American Club, Inc. are José and Agueda Aguirre, from Cali, Colombia.  They live in Port St Lucia and together with their relatives, opened their beautiful home to us on Saturday September 23rd.  A very important aspect that sets them apart is their generosity towards anyone in need in this occasion they were delighted to host the club’s Get Together since they ware surrounded not only by their friends but also people from all Hispanic America.

It was a terrific party with a great turn out There was pretty much everything, drinks, hors d’ oeuvres, music and, of course1 the wonderful gastronomy (traditional buffet of latin food). All these combined with the great dance music, Colombian music made the Get Together a Success. Thanks to the members and to the charming Aguirre family for making this occasion a genuine experience of camaraderie and love.  After dinner, the Club’s President Dr. Enrique Ospina gave an update about the upcoming activities: The Masquerade Dance on Saturday October 28, the Club’s Anniversary Dinner/Gala on Saturday November 4 and Bowling Tournament on Saturday November 11th.  The next activity is scheduled for October 21 at the residence of one of the members.

Summery elegance at the “Hawaiian Party” at the residence of Lee and Nancy Rozon

By Herman Santa

Lee and Nancy Rozon’s residence turned into a nightclub on Saturday, September 1st, as part of the monthly meeting of the members of the “Spanish American Club, Inc.” (SACI).

The guests were welcomed by Lee and Nancy on the terrace of their elegant residence with kisses and hugs. As usual at the “Get Together,” they had a drinks station, snacks, and an exquisite buffet prepared by the members themselves.

Elegance dominated the dresses of the ladies in Hawaiian attire as stipulated in the invitation. The gentlemen showcased their colorful Hawaiian shirts. The musical phase was handled by yours truly, who managed to fill the dance floor from corner to corner with my selection of cumbia and merengue music. It was a grand celebration, including exquisite food and dancing until the early hours of the morning.
